Not 24 hrs long a cat can't - I'd exist getting out the disinfectant and having a good look round - have you left any of import papers or apparel on the floor??

What near a carpet or rug?

Aye I reckon they can go on it in for a long fourth dimension.

If she is used to using the litter tray I'thou certain she'll become eventually, she'south probably but getting used to her new surroundings.

She's not used to using the litter tray. She's been abandoned and on the streets for over a year. I used to feed her and give her shelter, simply she mainly lived exterior.

This is a big change for her!

Mmmm..that's a catchy ane. Y'all could try putting her in the niggling tray a few times and run into if she gets the idea, like yous would with a kitten.

Back in the really common cold/snowy winter of a few years back, ane of mine managed to concur-off for several days rather than exit. I could swear she looked like she was going to burst!

Oh that makes more sense.

I know we're meant to keep them in, but even when I have bothered to do it, the stress levels were ridiculous, and it never went for the whole two weeks.

Ours was the opposite. We kept her in for a few weeks because it took her weeks just to adjust to existence in a new place. She spent the commencement month at the top of the stairs and only came downwards to consume and shit. One time she could go outside it took a good six months before she'd get out for longer than 10 minutes without running back into the house and coming to discover us to check nosotros were still here.

Now of grade we can't get the bugger back in when it's bed time. :D

I suppose information technology depends on the cat'southward disposition.

Yep, have tried that. First it was in the loft, but she didn't seem to like being up there and the stairs are besides steep for her. And then I put it in the corner of the bathroom, but she only refuses to go in there for some reason. Then it was in the living room behind the sofa. Nope. Now it's in the corner of the kitchen - quite out of sight of windows/doors/etc, merely close to where I've been feeding here :hmm: which can't exist a good location...

Bless, she is scared of the bath monster. :D

Yep, I can't see her staying within for 2 weeks. 3-5 days should exercise, I recollect.

Hmmm, there'due south a big bit of me that thinks that's not long enough, particularly if you lot've only moved 15 minutes abroad (i.e. I'd be worried she'd get back to the onetime place), but and so I will admit that is based on no existent evidence and is instead probably a knee wiggle response :D Is there whatever fashion early outings can be supervised, or is she likely to leg it quite quickly?
